Identity workflows, MFA experiences, admin dashboards, and frontend microservices.
step_01
Authentication flows needed to be secure, understandable, and configurable for enterprise admins.
step_02
UI microservices had to stay consistent across distributed teams and product areas.
step_03
QA and frontend standards moved earlier into planning so issues surfaced before delivery pressure peaked.

Project Overview
I worked in a large identity management ecosystem, including Ping Identity-related areas, where the product covered MFA flows, device-oriented authentication experiences, admin dashboards, and several frontend microservices. As my responsibilities grew, I helped set clearer frontend standards, moved QA thinking earlier into planning, and supported a team of engineers through review, delivery, and technical decision-making.
Technical Implementations & Highlights
- Designed and developed a PoC for a visual flow builder that helped administrators configure complex security protocol and IAM rules.
- Built configurable data visualization features:
- Implemented admin-configurable chart behavior
- Developed dynamic access control for data visualization
- Integrated backend-driven configuration for chart accessibility
- Created user verification system for premium chart access
- Helped improve multiple frontend microservices:
- Introduced clearer code review expectations
- Supported unit testing standards
- Created technical notes and workflow documentation
- Worked on multi-factor authentication solutions using Web Authentication API:
- FIDO key integration
- Biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID)
- Hardware security key support
- Cross-browser compatibility
- Improved team workflow with earlier QA involvement:
- Bridged gaps between project requirements, development, and QA teams
- Helped surface questions before development was already late in the cycle
- Made requirements and validation criteria easier for the team to discuss
- Led and mentored engineers in a distributed product environment.
